PYGEUM BARK TINCTURE

Historically, the powdered bark was used as a tea for relief of bladder & urinary disorders. Studies show PYGEUM BARK (Pygeum africanum) to be exceptional in helping to maintain a healthy prostate or to decrease inflammation of the prostate.

Pygeum has three categories of active constituents. The phytosterols have anti-inflammatory effects. The pentacyclic terpenes have an anti-edema or decongesting effect. The last group, the ferulic esters, reduce levels of the hormone prolactin and also block cholesterol in the prostate.
