As may of you know we implemented The EnerHealth Challenge which is a monthly health challenge to help everyone achieve better health. This month’s challenge is to drink more water. Just like most of you, I do not drink enough water…It is really hard for me. I am undertaking the challenge though.
My goal is 70 oz. per day since I weigh 140. However, that seems like quite a lot to me so I am taking the suggestion of pacing myself. Here is the breakdown:
Waking hours: 6am – 8pm Oz/hour: 5 oz
Now looking at that, I only have to drink 5 oz of water every hour I am awake to make my goal. No Problem! However at the time of writing this I am behind. I am already kicking myself…It’s only Day 1. But I encourage everyone, do not get discouraged. I will press on and so should you.
I will continue to keep everyone updated on a weekly basis on my water intake. Good luck to everyone!
Hello Everyone! I would like to introduce myself. My name is Peter and I am VP of Marketing & Operations here at EnerHealth Botanicals. I am a passionate health freedom advocate and pride myself in practicing what we preach.
Thank you for giving me an opportunity to share my thoughts with you. I will be blogging/commenting on anything I feel deserves a comment. I will also be highlighting health topics and herbs that I enjoy.
Obviously we have not been tending to our blog like we should. We are really busy so I have assigned a new blogger to regularly update our blog. So please welcome Peter. Peter has been with us for 2 years now, and was formerly VP of WhiteDove Herbals, the tincture company we acquired.
Peter…the blog is all yours.
Not breaking news, but I would like to point out that new research has come out saying that the current vaccine for Pertussis aka whooping cough is not effective and in fact wears off after the last round of boosters…right around the age where all these outbreaks are happening.
This research was forced to happen because of the recent whooping cough outbreak predominately among vaccinated kids. Why wasn’t this research done before? They claim that the problem is with the “safer” vaccine that was introduced in the early 90′s. Well that is 22 years ago, I would hope they were looking at the actual effectiveness of the vaccine over that time but apparently not.
Good thing these poor kids were subjected to al those vaccines as babies for something that doesn’t really work.
The makers of “Pink Slime”, Beef Products, Inc. are planning a lawsuit against someone and are accusing the media ruined their business. Hilarious! Really? The media ruined your business? Maybe your actual product and business ethics ruined your business. Why don’t you take some responsibility and be accountable for your actions. They had to shut down 3 of their 4 production plants and rightfully so. Just cause your product and business got exposed stop crying! You were deceiving everyone and still to this day continue your lies. I would love to see all the executives sit down and actually eat their own “Pink Slime”. You got what you deserved.
An article recently came out saying that mammograms may increase the risk of breast cancer, especially in women who might be more prone to it. My response to this comes from my teenage daughter…Does the word Duh mean anything to you?
Mammograms are a diagnostic tool. They do not prevent cancer at all. In fact they were never meant to be a screening tool but rather a confirmation device. It can only detect cancer if it is already there. The problem is that it uses radiation. Did you know radiation causes cancer? So all these women with a family history of breast cancer are encouraged to get mammograms at a younger age are actually putting themselves at an even increased risk.
If you are concerned about breast cancer I suggest breast thermography. Breast thermography is a test of your physiology and can detect areas of concern up to 8 years before it can show up on a mammogram. Early detection is the key to dealing with cancer and Breast thermography is a wonderful tool out there.
Darren actually did a great interview with Dr. Sherri Tenpenny on breast thermography and cancer last year. Here is the link to that great interview
The push against prop 37 and food labeling laws heated up a few days ago as the “mainstream machine” published a “study” saying organic food has no more nutritional value than conventional. What is funny is the article actually contradicts itself saying organic food is healthier because it doesn’t contain chemicals. Regardless, what was completely left out of these “studies” was what ORGANIC FOOD IS NOT. Organic food is not GMO. Organic food is not artificially sweetened. Organic food doesn’t devastate the environment. Funny how these simple facts were left out.
Additionally concerning is the fact that they failed to even clarify that food can be conventional and non-gmo. The fact is not all conventional food is GMO. It is not just black & white, organic and non organic. They still use pesticides and chemicals but they are not genetically engineered. Obviously, there is a confusion plot going on here as most people will read this and think GMO food is not bad for you. This is a blatant offensive move on behalf of Big-Ag in their fight against prop 37. I don’t think it is any coincidence that it ended up on the front page of every major news outlet (MSN, Yahoo, etc) and was put out by the AP. Just once I would love to see an article hit the mainstream talking about the dangers of GMO’s…even if it was non-biased and just a research paper that would let the people form their own opinion, at least the information would be out there.
Reading the comments below the article(s) just furthers the public’s ignorance as they have no clue. Which is concerning for the future…
