Now typically, buzzwords like "wild harvested" and "farm to table" are things we look for in anything we intend to put in or on our bodies. But that's not the case when it comes to the organic lab grown mushroom’s we use to infuse our coffee beans with.
Wild picked mushrooms are not ideal for many reasons. A major concern is the unpredictability of the lifecycle stage the fungi is experiencing when harvested. This is vitally important to determining the level of beta-glucans (the important compounds that contain the medicinal benefits) found in the polysaccharide of the mushroom.
In addition, wild-picked mushrooms are more subjectable to contamination due to things like pesky Sciarid and Phorid flies feeding on the mycelium and leaving behind feces, to formations of bacterial blotch disease. That doesn’t sound attractive to me, how about you?
Lab-grown mushrooms on the other hand are clean, safe and ensure consistent high beta-glucan levels, meaning you are getting all of the goods and none of the junk!
By infusing our organic Arabica whole-beans with the lab grown medicinal mushrooms, we've taken the labor out of the equation. All you need to do is grind and brew! The heat during brewing will activate the beneficial compounds of the mushroom extract in the coffee. Boasting 100mg of mushroom extract in every cup and NO MUSHROOM TASTE! This is freshly roasted coffees from South and Central America.

There are a few things that are carefully considered to make our unique mushroom coffee so irresistibly delicious. We keep the mushroom flavor OUT and all of their benefits IN by using micronized organic mushroom extracts and our proprietary process to infuse extracts of medicinal mushrooms directly into the coffee bean. This entire process allows the extract to be absorbed by the bean, yet, it does not alter the taste. But truly, it all starts with the bean origin.
We source our fairly traded Arabica whole beans from Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico, Peru and Colombia. We work closely with our suppliers to ensure only the very best quality beans for our customers while providing a fair price to the farmers to enable them to continue to be successful in providing for their families and in contributing to their communities.
Our strategic roasting and infusing process also makes our coffee like no other. All of our coffee is roasted to medium because it offers the most balanced and versatile profile when it comes to brewing. No matter how you enjoy your coffee; impeccably pressed, dripped to deliciousness, percolated to perfection, the standard coffee pot or even espresso-style, this roast won't alter the flavor!
Also, when you purchase our coffee, it will always be whole bean. By leaving it whole, the coffee has less exposure to the air, does not oxidize as quickly and better preserves its aromatics and flavor vs. ground beans which allows greater oxidization resulting in stale coffee in a shorter amount of time.
The most unique aspect of our coffee has to be our blind roasting process provided by Master Roaster Gerry Leary. Born without sight, Gerry roasts all of our coffee by embracing his four other heightened senses of smell, taste, touch, and sound. This gives Gerry the upper hand when it comes to our process because his elevated senses allow him to smell and taste all of the coffee's notes, deeming it the epitome of a perfect medium roast.
