Coltsfoot Herb

* Modulates inflammation in the respiratory tract, as mucilage found in the herb forms a protective layer over the mucous membranes of the throat and mouth.

* Cough calming or "cough dispeller," as implied by the Roman name Tussilago.

* Supports respiratory and bronchial health.

About: One of the first spring wildflowers to blossom, Coltsfoot doesn't open its leaves until its bright yellow flowers have bloomed, unlike most plants, gaining it the nickname "Son-Before-Father," or in Latin, Filius ante patrem. Another name for this herb is "Coughwort"--"wort" meaning herb in Old English. This main ingredient in most cough syrups has been used throughout history for its cough-calming properties. We receive it dry from Albania, and activate it through our extraction process, which has been used consistently over the past 15 years to produce only the highest quality medicinal extracts.
